Celebrating Unique Childhood Journeys

In this precious photo, we meet two adorable twin brothers, each carving out their own path through childhood's ups and downs. One of them faced the challenge of a club foot, while the other wore a special headband for plagiocephaly. Despite these hurdles, both boys are making strides in their own way.

Facing Challenges with Courage

Childhood isn't a race; it's a journey. Every child hits milestones at their own pace. Sometimes, it's hard not to compare when other kids seem to be ahead. But it's important to remember that there's a wide range of normal development.

Understanding Childhood Development Milestones

According to the World Health Organization:

👶 Sitting Without Support: 3.8 - 9.2 Months

👶 Hands & Knees Crawling: 5.2 - 13.5 Months

👶 Walking With Assistance: 6.0 - 13.7 Months

👶 Standing Independently: 6.9 - 16.9 Months

👶 Walking Independently: 8.2 - 17.6 Months

Every child is unique, and there's no need to worry if they're not hitting these exact milestones on time. But if you have concerns, we're here to help.

When to Seek Help

If they are within 2-3 months of these later sides of the milestones and have not hit them yet we can help out by providing specific activities to address these concerns. If they are still just sitting at 10 months and not reaching for any toys, or not crawling by their first birthday or still have a bit to go for walking by 16 months it might be worthwhile to reach out!
